Mo Bobat appointed England and Wales Cricket Board performance director

Mo Bobat was appointed as the England and Wales Cricket Boards (ECB) execution director for mens cricket.
He will work closely with new mens head coach selector Ed Smith and Chris Silverwood.
Bobat, who moves up out of his job as player identification guide, will take more than David Parsons who left the post in July.
He said:Im thrilled and honoured to be appointed performance director, at what is an exciting moment for English cricket.
Im looking forward to working closely together with both Chris Silverwood and Ed Smith, and in doing this, encouraging the performance demands of our England teams and moving us closer to achieving our aim of becoming the most respected team on the planet.
Developing strong relationships with all our own counties to improve the size and quality of our talent pool will probably be paramount. I aim to make certain our greatest players receive experiences that are international-specific and support.
This is an extremely exciting role and the vision is the potency of our our high performance system produces deliberate and sustained success throughout all formats.
The 36-year-old studied sports management and science and is also in the process of completing his Masters in wearing directorship.
He joined the ECB and five decades later was promoted to England mens participant identification lead. He has helped detect potential future gamers and has developed a strong link with the England team selection throughout the previous three years.
Running director of cricket Ashley Giles said:The job of performance director is a important post in the development of our long-term strategy for elite operation. Mo demonstrated by his knowledge and expertise he has the attributes to take us ahead in this field.
He is going to be responsible for differentiating our greatest possible players and top programmes that will bridge the difference between county and worldwide cricket assisting us to provide successful, respected and inspiring England teams and players.
