Champion Chase at Down Royal for Kemboy

Willie Mullins is leaning towards letting Kemboy make his reappearance at the Ladbrokes Champion Chase at Down Royal.

The seven-year-old made progress last year, with victories in the Clonmel Oil and Savills Chase throughout the first half of the campaign making him a shot in the Cheltenham Gold Cup at Leopardstown.
He unseated his rider shortly after the fence at Prestbury Park, but awakened with a prominent display in Aintree.
Kemboy is a favorite to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup in the next attempt, and Mullins hopes to visit him return to action.
He explained:Weve placed him in the race at Down Royal and we will see how he is working. Its so much so good and I am very satisfied with what he is doing at home.
At the moment were heading towards Down Royal. I believe the track will be handled by him up there along with the floor. I was mainly thinking of the ground because of him. I understand the floor can get delicate up there, however, more often than not the floor is good.
I didnt wish to enter some other horses to the race and then rush them to it. This guy comes into a bit faster and its a nice race to aim him .
Plans are somewhat more fluid for Al Boum Photo, whereas Mullins is pondering where and if to bring Klassical Dream back to actions.
The latter won all his four starts last season – like the Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham – and he is a favorite next March to provide a Champion Hurdle success to his coach.
Al Boum Photo is great and Im quite happy with the progress hes making, said Mullins.
I do not know where Ill start him. Before I start off him, I want to get some great cut from the floor and real winter weather. I need to keep him coaching and create a plan when the ideal opportunity arises.
Klassical Dream might go to Down Royal (WKD Hurdle), however I would state that the Morgiana at Punchestown is more probably where well start him off.
Hes been really good at home.
