Army vs. UTSA NCAAF Pick – Week 3
The Army Black Knights arrived a two or three . They hit another worthy opponent with the menu button in 2019. Army were hoping for better results this time, but it was the outcome.
Oklahoma endured with a score of 28-21 and Michigan were able to live as well, 24-21. This Army team did the exact same point last year, although I understand people want to blast Michigan due to their effort. The Black Knights get zero credit for what they have accomplished.
Army are a group who won 11 games last season. They came near creating it if they defeat Oklahoma 12-1, which could have come true. The Black Knights have defeated on Navy three years in a row, and they have a whole lot of momentum on their side in 2019. They are fully conscious that they’re capable of providing teams a struggle.
So, to get a minute here, let’s give credit to Army. Folks just love to hate on Michigan. If a staff expected to visit the playoff be in a position to manage Army? But Oklahoma moved into the playoff last season despite facing a hard time. Michigan may hang their hat on this season going ahead.
Army will not be searching for an upset on Saturday. They’ll just be looking to prevent an angry this weekend. The Black Knights will be favorites with two touchdowns and a field goal here, so they are likely to be on the side of a possible bid in this one.
UTSA will be visiting that the triple-option for the first time in college history. They’re coming from a blowout loss against Baylor and will observe a much different crime Saturday. It may be as difficult to slow down. Head below for our complimentary Army vs. UTSA pick.

UTSA got by without a test in Week 1. They cruised beyond them to get a score of 35-7. Simple enough. The contest level got kicked against Baylor. Baylor produced the Roadrunners cover their errors, since they racked up eight total touchdowns. There were four unique rushers who obtained over 60 yards on the floor. Baylor rushed for 368 yards, including 3 touchdown passes by Charlie Brewer and 168 passing yards.
They are likely to be in for another tough day against Army within this one if they thought that stopping the run against Baylor was demanding. The Black Knights finished 2nd in the nation a season ago with 312.5 rushing yards per game. They had been one of only two groups who defended 300 rushing yards per contest. Quarterback Kelvin Hopkins Jr. is back in 2019, that’s the most important piece to your triple-option offense.
He is the pilot of the crime and a lot of choices return to him. Hopkins Jr. was accountable for 2 touchdowns on the ground and 41 rushing yards against Michigan. Connor Slomka led all rushers on Army with 92 yards. Everyone is conscious of what sort of harm Army can do on the floor. But a lot of individuals aren’t aware of how great their defense can be. They finished 9th at the FBS with 294 yards and held Oklahoma to 21 points in regulation last season. They also surrendered just 18 points per game.
It has been the same for the Army defense in 2019. They’ve returned several starters, including three starters in the secondary. Their leading tackler,“ Cole Christiansen, who had 12.5 tackles for a reduction in 2018, has returned this year as well. Frank Harris is going to continue to struggle after departure for just 93 yards per week ago.
There might be an argument made that Army are due for a letdown spot. If there is any colleges who can avoid letdowns it is the schools. They are too focused and secured in. There was no hangover the following week, when Army nearly conquer Oklahoma last season. A week 10, Buffalo was throttled by them for a 43-13 decision. Expect a similar outcome on this one. At a 20-point win for Army looks likely here.
