„We would like to thank Tyson for he has done both on and off the ice to the Avalanche business,“ Sakic said. „He made an impact not only with his drama but together with his charitable work in the local community. …
„With the arrival and emergence of Samuel Girard and Cale Makar, in addition to the current draft selection of Bowen Byram, we felt it was time to move in this course with Tyson’s contract expiring next summer.“
Kerfoot, 24, has played 157 NHL games, all in the past two seasons with the Avalanche. He had 19 goals and 24 assists as a rookie in 2017-18, then 15 goals and 27 assists in 2018-19.
