Southampton’s Wesley Hoedt joins Antwerp on season-long loan
Southampton defender Wesley Hoedt has joined Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp.
The loan agreement also includes an choice to purchase at the end of the campaign.
Hoedt made 32 appearances during his debut season with the club and joined Southampton from Lazio in August 2017.
The 25-year-old joined Celta Vigo on loan for the rest of the effort, but was deemed surplus to requirements from the Austrian and made a further 13 appearances last season before the arrival of manager Ralph Hasenhuttl in St Mary’s.
