Cowboys RT La’el Collins wants to be in Dallas for life

With his 2017 contract extension nearing its end, La’el Collins is poised to get a payday, but the Dallas Cowboys right tackle isn’t looking to get paid anywhere besides Arlington.
On Wednesday, while hosting his own childhood football camp in his alma mater, Dutchtown High School in Baton Rouge, La.,“ Collins revealed his desire to continue donning the silver, white and blue for a lengthy time.
„I’d love to remain in Dallas my entire career,“ Collins stated per The Advocate’s Herbie Teope. „I love the Cowboys, I love Mr. (Jerry) Jones; I really like the Jones family. I really like everything about the business that is entire and what they’ve done for me as a player and as a individual.
„For me, it is just all about going out there and taking it one day at a time, and demonstrating myself, showing my value, showing them which I would like to be there by what I do and today what I state.“
An undrafted rookie from LSU at 2015, Collins is now a staple together Dallas‘ offensive line alongside centre Travis Frederick and right guard Zack Martin. After the retirement of long-time tackle Doug Free, Collins changed to RT where he continues to make strides under offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and coach Marc Colombo.
Besides missing the bulk of the 2016 season with a torn ligament in his right big toe, Collins has promised his health the past two seasons, having started every game for the Cowboys because the 2017 season, such as Dallas‘ two playoff matches in 2018.
