Odds have been slashed at by paddy Power on Boris Johnson becoming the shortest serving Prime Minister ever.
Mr Johnson has handled 55 days in office so far, but is currently facing significant pressure following a series of movements and accidents.
Should he serve under 119 days, he had put the record for the shortest time in office.
The Prime Minister stunned MPs by stripping off 21 coworkers of their party membership for voting against a no-deal Brexit. This prompted over 100 Tory MPs to write to Mr Johnson expressing their outrage.
He has lost his majority and seen opposition parties rally against the choice. Mr Johnson’s probability of negotiating the UK’s departure from the EU look increasingly slim as his armoury continues to weaken.
A strong possibility is a general election will be called before the year’s close. Should that lead to a Tory defeat, he would feasibly be gone prior to 20th November. This could make him the shortest serving PM ever.
Even a November election is costed at 7/4??in places, although October is a very long shot 33/1.
George Canning holds the record for the shortest having held office for 118 days prior to his passing cut his tenure.
